Be mindful that there is a store at the domain name whcih I am trying to replace by oscommerce creation.

Your file seems to be oscommerce instead of catalog. So whenever anyone tells you to look in your catalog directory, just think oscommerce instead.

The Knowledge Base is a wonderful thing.

Do you have a problem? Have you checked out Common Problems?

There are many very useful osC Contributions

Are you having trouble with a installed contribution? Have you checked out the support thread found Here

This happens if you install osCommerce through your web hosting.

I discovered this too - my Cpanel installation comes with OSC2.2-MS2 and it installs it automatically, but it does NOT call the base directory "catalog", it calls it whatever you specify in the installation.

It took me a little doing to figure out that what other people were calling 'catalog', I knew as 'shop'

:D
