Guest Posted February 27, 2004 Posted February 27, 2004 Hi, newbie type personage here with a possibly daft question. We need to create a store to retail clothing. Each product item will come in a number of different sizes and colours and we need to use the instock amount so that customers cannot order an item we no longer have. At first glance it would appear that the easy way to do this would be to create a number of categories and sub categories leading to each variant of the product e.g. Shirts Shirts > Ugly Shirt Shirts > Ugly Shirt > Green (create products here for S, M, L, XL) Shirts Shirts > Ugly Shirt Shirts > Ugly Shirt > Red (create products here for S, M, L, XL) I'd guess that with a bit of SQL work it would be possible to create an easier method but that is way beyond my talents. So? Have I got this correct or is there another way of doing what we seek? Thanks Graeme
