aicram
Hey ppl I don't like the current shipping options, I think it is very limited, I think it would be an easier and better way to do it, to have an option that let you place the shipping cost once the order is placed and then adding it to the total amount
Guest
I'm glad there's someone else with the same dilemma. I?ve worked out the ability to add extra charges to the order once the order has been placed. I installed the edit order 2.1a contribution Jonathan Hilgeman. My problem is that I want to be able to add choices of shipping method i.e.UPS Ground, 3rd day, and Next Day Air without the cost. If you or anyone else has a solution, I will certainly appreciate any help. Mark

Wendy James
There are a ton of shipping contributions. You should be able to find one to suit your needs. http://www.oscommerce.com/community?contri...&category=2 Mark, you could take any of the modules... like check/moneyorder that comes with osCommerce or http://www.oscommerce.com/community/contributions,164 and then just change the wording on it to say the different methods if you do not want to have a specific fee set up yet. You would have to make copies of whichever module you pick to have the different options but that isn't too hard. Not sure I would want to order something from someone and not know what my shipping costs were upfront though. Wendy James Creativity is allowing yourself to make mistakes. Art is knowing which ones to keep.
spencermjax
I did search long and hard and found no contributions that explicitly solve my problem. I found 2 or three that, if modified, MAY solve my dilemma. Because I am a designer and not a programmer, I was hoping for a less time consuming solution. That being said, The instructions/descriptions are not very clear on the "Free Shipping plus other Ship methods" mod you linked to. It looks on the face of it it MAY work. My problem is that I am using the per item shipping method. What I need is to have a customer select ground($0) or 2nd day($24) or Next Day($45) and have that amount added to the per item shipping total. I'm new here and I have also a problem with the shipping options.... Here is what I'd need :) or something similar: option 1 - shipping to Canada - standard rates = x$ option 2 - shipping to Canada - expedited rates = y$ option 3 - shipping to US - standard rates = z$ option 4 - shipping to US - expedited rates = s$ option 5 - shipping to Europe - standard rates = d$ option 6 - shipping to Europe - expedited rates = g$ option 7 - shipping worldwide - standard rates = t$ option 8 - shipping worldwide - expedited rates = h$ Can this be done? I ship only 1 item at a time, more or less the same volume/weight .... Thanks, Dan
