I feel these are important The acutual customization of the website....- Is it real complicated And if there is anything else that you think i need to know. Like i said, im starting from no background, and have no experience. Thank you so much.
detsouvalas Posted February 25, 2004 Posted February 25, 2004 Hi! I fear that your question is too large to be answered in a post ... !! Well, customizing osCommerce should be the easiest part of the job, from the moment that you have collected all needed info and made all the paperwork! Depending on where you are based, the procedure of starting an e-business is different! You don't write in which country you are based, so no specific advice can be given on how to 'legally' start your online business! For EU, look for e-commerce on europa.eu.int (I think!) For legal stuff, ask your lawyer or search by yourself all regulation about consumer rights, e-commerce, distant selling and similar! For financial stuff first ask your accountant and for credit card payments first ask your bank! Read a lot ... Make a good search on Google (or other search engine), there are many papers/articles/sites/associations dealing with e-commerce ... oh, there are also 'normal' books! :-) Have a look on other sites and their policies, but for heavens sake, don't copy them but adapt them to your proper business organization! That's for a beginning ... it's not difficult, but it needs some patience! Regards from Greece, Antonios Antonios
