sirdavid Posted February 23, 2004 Share Posted February 23, 2004 We have about 600 products, and many of them are available in different sizes - for example 5ml, 10ml, 25ml, 50ml - therefore creating about 2500 product permutations. We wish to track sales on each item. We want to understand how best to create the product codes within our DB and OSCommerce. Is it recommended to have a product code, prepended with the size - eg AMB123-10 AMB123-25 where when someone views the product they are presented with all sizes as choices (which seems much simpler/logical), or to have a product code for every single product - but in that case how would we group displays of products?
