Ive downloaded from server index.php and that files and open with notepad but cannot understand very much because is all in one line! Is there any other program i can open index.php and others that show info more organised and more easy to make the changes? Thanks in advance!
bloodshoteyes Posted February 22, 2004 Posted February 22, 2004 First turn on word wrap in notebook.. Second you will need a good PHP editor if you are planning many changes.

paulm2003 Posted February 24, 2004 Posted February 24, 2004 also a newbie. found a search that led to Crimson Editor. it is free. got great reviews so i am using it. tony Hi tony, just downloaded Crimson Editor, and it's great indeed! Unbelievable that such a programm is freeware  I tried a lot of free editors but this is the best by far i think. I am sure it also beats lots of non free editors. Very fast, non bloated and still lots of features. some features that I like most: -syntax highlighting (not very special, but I can't do without and some free editors don't have it) -brackets highlighting -select block -select column (i.e. horizontal and vertical select/cut/copy and paste!) -search and replace also in multiple opened documents -very clear indication "light" if a file has changed (and isn't saved yet), handy in combination with the multiple file replace, to see quickly which files are affected and which not And that's after only five minutes of testing the programm! thanks for the tip!
