coves Posted February 21, 2004 Posted February 21, 2004 Hi, I have been doing everthing maual (what a pain!). Trying to get my admin area working. None of the passwords that I wrote down seem to work. I even modified the .htpasswd file that contains one, no luck. How can I get into the admin area? Help...
241 Posted February 21, 2004 Posted February 21, 2004 the fast way into admin however is not the cure. The fast way connect to the server using your ftp program go to admin and rename the .htaccess file to something else say 1 and bingo you are in however your admin is not protected. You should have a control panel provided by your hosting company that will allow you to change or allocate passwords to directories or if you pm me I will give you a standard password for now. No longer giving free advice. Please place deposit in meter slot provided. Individual: [=] SME: [==] Corporation: [===] If deposit does not fit one of the slots provided then you are asking too much! Is your Osc dated try Phoenix raising oscommerce from the ashes.
coves Posted February 21, 2004 Author Posted February 21, 2004 Thanks, I commented out the command to lookup the password and am working in admin. I will re-protect for now and figure it out later. Thanks Again for getting me going! :D
ibandyop Posted February 21, 2004 Posted February 21, 2004 If I understand you correctly. You want to get into osCommerce Admin Just go into the database e.g., using phpMyAdmin and replace it in the admin table with the osCommerce default that was in the .sql file during installation. Your version may/maynot need an encrypted version. ibandyop
