Assailant Posted February 20, 2004 Posted February 20, 2004 to install it you need to upload the entire catalog folder to your public ftp directory then if you havnt already, setup your mysql then go to www.yourwebsite.com/catalog/install and run the install and if you need further help read the wiki document located at the top of this page.
241 Posted February 20, 2004 Posted February 20, 2004 If you have been working on your cart offline then yes you can just ftp to your server but remember to manually alter the catalog/includes/configure.php and admin/includes/configure.php to reflect your paths and database info, also you would need to create the database and load the sql No longer giving free advice. Guest Posted February 20, 2004 Posted February 20, 2004 yes, you can drag and drop (copy and paste) to FTP sites using Internet Exploder. It's not the best FTP client out there (not by a long shot) but it works. Here's how you do it: 1) check in IE, Tools, Internet Options, Advanced to make sure that FTP folder view is on. 2) Your ISP probably requires you to login with a username/password to access your FTP directory. The format for this in a web browser is ftp://username:password@ftpserver. For example, a user named joe, with a password of bagodonuts, FTPing to ftp.stooges.com would enter the following URL into IE: ftp://joe:[email protected] . And then you need to run the installation script from http://yourwebserver.com/catalog/install or wherever you put it. I hope that helps. -jared
