freakon Posted February 20, 2004 Posted February 20, 2004 Please let me know what you guys think of the store and the forums Store Website Store Forums
Guest Posted February 21, 2004 Posted February 21, 2004 I like the animated dude on the first catalog page. You still have a pretty much 'boxy' structure though. Also, your forums and your catalog headers aren't the same. IMO it'd be more consistent to use the same header in both places. Remove the date and requests made 'bar' at the bottom of the catalog.
swatkins Posted February 22, 2004 Posted February 22, 2004 ON this page you have a typo in the "Sing In" box on the left :) Should it not be "Sign IN" ? http://paintballxpress.com/ecart/index.php...cff712ec065c390
Chance Posted February 22, 2004 Posted February 22, 2004 Most people would agree that losing at a minimum the "blah blah requests since.." info would be a good idea. I agree with a previous poster, making the forum and the store look the same would do wonders for your site. Red is usualy a no-no color in eCommerce (the universal color for stop!), you might want to think about keeping the red in the site limited to your logo, and using other contrasting colors for the infobox headers and graphics. It is a pretty standard layout, you might want to check out the STS and BTS template systems for help with changing the layout of your site a bit. Your pricing seems very reasonable, it sure beats the crap out of my local shop. I see you have a lot of Kingman- I would look forward to seeing 'Cockers, Mags and accessories in the future, we kinda look down on those "weekend player markers" around here :P My advice comes in two flavors- Pick the one that won't offend you. TerryK Posted February 22, 2004 Posted February 22, 2004 I also think the red is a bit much -- and can have a negative association. As Chance said, some other contrasting colors in your infoboxes might look better. Your company name brings to mind some wonderful image association -- I'd love to see some paint splatters in play somehow on the site.
