detsouvalas Posted February 18, 2004 Posted February 18, 2004 Well, I think there is somewhere a misunderstanding ... ! There are NO Terms/Conditions/Privacy Statements/Shipping and Return Policies etc. which are "free" or "paid" because all the legal stuff is not (or at least should not be) just "one more contribution" for your e-shop! Once online, you are liable for everything stated in the legal documents (and not correctly done!). I think that, if you are serious about your business, either you ask your lawyer for advice, or, if you think that you can handle it by yourself, make a reading through laws and regulations and customize other legal documents to your business domain! (and I don't mean by that, that you only change the shop's details!) Make a search on the Site of the European Union, there is some interesting stuff. There is an automated service which creates some of those documents, but you have to make a search on the os-Commerce forums to find the address! If I remember well, it was Linda who submitted it! And have a look at the OCDE site for a Privacy Statement Generator: http://cs3-hq.oecd.org/scripts/pwv3/pwhome.htm Good luck! Antonios B) Antonios
pinkstarsunshine Posted March 24, 2004 Posted March 24, 2004 FYI, there is a contribution for terms of use/privacy here: http://www.oscommerce.com/community/contributions,396/page,6
