TerryK
Fadel and Greg, thanks for your comments. Fadel, I've been using the lime/pink color scheme on my site for 7 years now (mostly to positive reviews from those who write), and am pretty much locked in to it at this point. Given that it's a site targetted to kids/families, I'm pretty comfortable with leaving the colors as they are. :-) Greg, I've been playing around with wrapping the lime around the bottom with the same curves as the top, but still have a little way to go before I'll be ready with it. I'm not sure about adding curves to the corners. I'll have to test it out. Definitely love your suggestion about mouseovers -- it's now on my seemingly endless to-do list... Thanks again you two! devosc
Sorry one last thing before going, is that there is an easy to install contrib onlines of 'previous next products', which goes into the product info page and allows you to browse through the products within the category of the product being currently viewed, as well as another button thats takes you to that products category page listing. Also I noticed that on in the review section the background color of the table of the buttons was in the lime color, which seemed out of sync with the other layouts. TerryK
Thanks, Greg. Will look for the previous/next contrib. Saw it on another site and liked it. I don't think I've finalized the review section of the site yet, thanks for the reminder! One last thing: I've been searching the forums for rollover scripts for buttons and coming up rather empty-handed. Do you have any idea how to do them? blazegotmuscle
Hey Terry. Like what you did to the site. Anyways, just wanted to ask anyone here that knows how to work oscommerce well. I need some help on one of my clients website. I'll pay (reasonable fee) anyone that has time to help me with importing the data i have and help me configure this beast. I haven't not had much time to learn how to do this, even though i am a webdesigner. If anyone is interested in making some quick cash, feel free to email me back at blaze@blazemm.com Thanks . devosc
Terry, yeah, there are two ways to do this, one you could actually use html buttons with styling applied, or you could use the image swap feature. For the first one requires extensively going through and finding all the buttons etc and changing that bit of script. Or the second one you might be able to get away with just making the change in the original tep function. I will pull out the code later, which one? or both? "Any fool can know. TerryK
This could also be applied to the bottom with a bit more lime enclosing the whole page if you see what I mean. Just a thought. As suggested, I've now added a bottom graphic enclosing the 'box' -- anyone care to check it out and let me know what they think? http://www.kididdles.com/catalog/ TIA! devosc
Hi there, Yeah thats looks great, I like the images. I did notice (with a Mozilla/FireBird browser) that the right hand column is not continously colored all the way down the page on the shipping and privacy page. During the checkout process on the CC page, might it be an idea to reshow the Thwarte logo again as a reminder. But this just might be me. On a whimsical note, some of the table header graphics are actually links which might not be obvious at first, my wish would be for the bunny to wobble whilst the mouse is over the link. Not sure about Keeyore(?) maybe his teeth could chatter. As you can tell I'm excited. Not sure if it's already there, but could there be some music when the page loads? "Any fool can know. TerryK
Yeah thats looks great, I like the images. Thanks! :) I did notice (with a Mozilla/FireBird browser) that the right hand column is not continously colored all the way down the page on the shipping and privacy page. Thanks for the reminder -- that's because I haven't finished those two pages yet. (Have to add the bgcolor in the td cell on each page for it to flow all the way to the bottom.) During the checkout process on the CC page, might it be an idea to reshow the Thwarte logo again as a reminder. But this just might be me. Excellent suggestion -- thanks! On a whimsical note, some of the table header graphics are actually links which might not be obvious at first, my wish would be for the bunny to wobble whilst the mouse is over the link. Not sure about Keeyore(?) maybe his teeth could chatter. As you can tell I'm excited. LOL... I'm so befuddled with the mouseover code that I don't know if any of them will actually be anything more than advertisements for 'Still Life.' Time will tell. Not sure if it's already there, but could there be some music when the page loads? No, I made a pointed decision not to add music to the pages. Many of my customers are moms and dads with little babies sleeping in the nursery as they do their shopping late at night. The last thing I want to be blamed for is the next 4 hours of crying... :) Thanks for the feedback, Greg!
