nettersebo Posted February 15, 2004 Author Posted February 15, 2004 Hey thanks, but...... it is so... i have only one database. the name is not oscommerce.... but i think it must go too whith a other name... so if i give him the infos for the db an for the username etc. he make a test connection.. that is okay and he whant install after another click of the submit button the installation..... but... he stopped... he said... there are not the oscommerc.sql ... but it?s all there... :-( Any ideas ? nice greeting, sebastian
nettersebo Posted February 15, 2004 Author Posted February 15, 2004 New Installation Database Import A test connection made to the database was successful. Please continue the installation process to execute the database import procedure. It is important this procedure is not interrupted, otherwise the database may end up corrupt. The file to import must be located and named at: /install/oscommerce.sql that come , and after this window i click on Continue New Installation Database Import The following error has occurred: SQL file does not exist: /install/oscommerce.sql but the oscommerce.sql is there..... ???
kotlicity Posted February 15, 2004 Posted February 15, 2004 when you start installing, there are two option "import catalog" (I'm not sure it's "import catalog" or "Import database"). There is one more check box, and I forgot what's the name. Just check both now try
nettersebo Posted February 15, 2004 Author Posted February 15, 2004 Import Catalog Database: Automatic Configuration this is the start. and both of them are active...
nettersebo Posted February 15, 2004 Author Posted February 15, 2004 nothing....both of them are wrong..... also the database import must going to install the tables for the shopdata. but that is his problem.. he say , there are not the /install/oscommerce.sql textdata. but this data is in the folder /install/ i have upload all folder and start my page www.******./catalog/install nothing it?s going.
nettersebo Posted February 15, 2004 Author Posted February 15, 2004 okay..... now i have do another way... i have take the oscommerce.sql and use then phpmyadmin... ;-) it?s the fast way.. but i dont understand the failed installation.....because it was all correct... nice day ;-) sebastian
kotlicity Posted February 15, 2004 Posted February 15, 2004 if you uploaded it means it there. Do it slowing by reading the instrutions. if you dont something about what is asked, just click on "?". there is check box which you have leave uncheck for shared hosting. I was getting the error, my solution was to check the database name and hostname ("localhost")
nettersebo Posted February 15, 2004 Author Posted February 15, 2004 hey....thanks for your tip.... correct.... i have do a simple failure.... is have say localhost but i must say the www.****.de ;-) a very nice failure i think *smile*... i see the construction but my english is very old ( old in time i was use english every days ) :-( i hope your not angry of me :-) Nice Day... what for a wonderful day...
