Guest Posted February 15, 2004 Posted February 15, 2004 I was wondering if there was an enterprising programmer who wants to take on the challenge of doing an Amazon.com/Amazon.co.uk Associates module/plugin for osCommerce. Here's how I see it work. You get your ASIN codes from Amazon to show product links and/or pictures on your website. You type these ASIN codes into a modified New Product Page which only has a box for the ASIN code there. Or it could be a page to allow up to 25 ASINs to be added at the same time. Then when you save the codes (which end up in a database), and you look at the published page it can look like one of two ways: 1. Text only: this would produce a list similar to the Best Viewed Products lineage in the Admin. 2. Pictures: this would produce a display similar to the New Products list but filling a whole page (4 columns wide by 10 rows down) with pictures of the Amazon products. Also Amazon.com and/or Amazon.co.uk is added automatically to your Manufacturer list when installing the module. And uninstalled automatically if removed. It would be nice if tracking could be produced so that you can find out which products have been looked at (like Best Viewed Products). Just a little idea I just had... so who's up for the challenge?? Nathalie
