Guest Posted February 14, 2004 Posted February 14, 2004 Hi, I've got EP isntalled and working great. To test I've downloaded a full EP file, made sure that all my model nubmers were different (as some weren't) and then tried to upload it again, unchanged, as suggested in the EP manual. I upload my file (in the correct format), by browsing to it on my PC and then clicking add to DB. It seems to upload the file ok up to a certain point and I then get: File uploaded. Temporary filename: /tmp/phpvhJYST User filename: EP2004Feb14-1111-new2.txt Size: 188490 | 1024MB | Memory.jpg | 1024MB DDR | 1024MB PC2 | | 192.7 | 0.5 | 13/02/2004 | 19/01/2004 | 0 | 1 | Color | 14 | | Black | 15 | | Silver | 2 | Size | 3 | Model | 5 | | Value | 6 | | Premium | 7 | | Deluxe | 8 | | PS/2 | 9 | | USB | 4 | Memory | 1 | | 4 mb | 2 | | 8 mb | 3 | | 16 mb | 4 | | 32 mb | 5 | Version | 10 | | Download: | 13 | | Box: Windo | 6 | Hush Memor | 7 | Hush Optic | 8 | Hush Hard | 16 | | 80GB | 9 | Hush Softw | Other | Components | Memory | | | | | | Taxable Go | Active Updated | 120GB 3,5? | hushlogo-s | 120GB 3,5? | Hush PC - | | 35.17 | 0 | 13/02/2004 | 22/11/2003 | 0 | 1 | Color | 14 | | Black | 15 | | Silver | 2 | Size | 3 | Model | 5 | | Value | 6 | | Premium | 7 | | Deluxe | 8 | | PS/2 | 9 | | USB | 4 | Memory | 1 | | 4 mb | 2 | | 8 mb | 3 | | 16 mb | 4 | | 32 mb | 5 | Version | 10 | | Download: | 13 | | Box: Windo | 6 | Hush Memor | 7 | Hush Optic | 8 | Hush Hard | 16 | | 80GB | 9 | Hush Softw | Hush Techn | Hush Silen | Hush Hard | | | | | | Taxable Go | Active Updated | 120GB Barr | Hdd.jpg | 120GB Barr | 120GB Barr | www.seagat | 74.03 | 1 | 13/02/2004 | 18/11/2003 | 0 | 1 | Color | 14 | | Black | 15 | | Silver | 2 | Size | 3 | Model | 5 | | Value | 6 | | Premium | 7 | | Deluxe | 8 | | PS/2 | 9 | | USB | 4 | Memory | 1 | | 4 mb | 2 | | 8 mb | 3 | | 16 mb | 4 | | 32 mb | 5 | Version | 10 | | Download: | 13 | | Box: Windo | 6 | Hush Memor | 7 | Hush Optic | 8 | Hush Hard | 16 | | 80GB | 9 | Hush Softw | Seagate | Components | Hard Drive | | | | | | Taxable Go | Active Updated it lists like the above for a while until it get's to a product with a problem, and then it shows this error: 1064 - You have an error in your SQL syntax. Check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near 'unique heat dissipation technology for the CPU, Northbridge it then goes on to show the full description (from the v_products_description_1 column) of the product that has caused this mysterious error. To try and solve it I would remove the offending description from that product (from the v_products_description_1 column) and upload the file again. This time it's get's further down the list but then pops up the same error but for a product further down the list..... I have check and double checked the isntallation and the descriptions in the v_products_description_1 column and can't see any difference from each one and why one causes and error and another doesn't. Oh, before I forget, here's the full desciption from the v_products_description_1 column that seems to be causing the above error:
Hush Technologies Hush ATX HTPC

CONFIGURE YOUR OWN HUSH ATX SPECIFICATION HERE

WITH OUR NEW CUSTOM COMPUTER CREATOR

Swift, sexy and silent, the new Hush ATX proves that silent PCs now mean business. Guest Posted February 15, 2004 Posted February 15, 2004 Hi all, Gave it a try and I was able to upload the complete file ok..but then I came across another problem (one which I was lucky to nitice really!) For some reason, when I upload the new file (of which all I did was change the prices, nothing else) it truncates the products description (from the v_products_description_1 column). EG: This would be in the file in the v_products_description_1 column:
Dimension (L)300*(W)200*(H)185 2.85Kg (N.W.) 4.65Kg (G.W.)

Front Panel USB 2.0 6 in 1 card reader, USB * 2, 1394 * 1, MIC * 1, Line in/out * 1

Back Panel SPDIF In/Out * 1 Serial Port * 1, LAN Port * 1, VGA Port * 1, USB * 2, TV-out Port * 1

Extension Bay 5.25" * 1, 3.5" * 2

Mainboard Form Factor Shuttle Form Factor

CPU Socket 478 400/533/800MHz FSB

Chipsets North bridge:ATI RS300 South bridge:ATI IXP150

Memory Dual Channel DDR 200/266/333/400 SDRAM DIMM * 2

VGA Integrate high performance ATI Radeon 9100

Audio Realtek 650F 6 channel audio

Expansion Slot PCI * 1, 8XAGP * 1

IDE interface ATA-100

Power 250W (PFC)

Accessory

I.C.E Technology CPU heat-pipe

FDD Cable * 1

HDD Cable * 1

CD-ROM Cable * 1

SATA Cable

Screws, Twin Adhesive

Hot Features

SiliconImage Sil3512 supports RAID 0,1

Auto Fan speed control makes the lowest noise

Builtin USB 2.0 6 in 1 card reader

Support platform longevity for the latest ATI

800 MHz FSB delivers greater system bandwidth.

but it has been truncated to: Dimension (L)300*(W)200*(H)185 2.85Kg (N.W.) 4.65Kg (G.W.) Front Panel USB 2.0 6 in 1 card reader, USB * 2, 1394 * 1, MIC * 1, Line in/out * 1 Back Panel SPDIF In/Out * 1 S This has basically happened on all products that have a description longer than about 2 lines. It doesn't truncate at the same point, it seems random?? Any suggestions please? The time saved by EP in updated prices quickly has now been lost as I have to manually put in all the descriptions again :-( TIA guys - I need your help...!! Cheers Steve Quote
