Marking products out of stock?

Hello I found one thread concerning this and yet don't have the answer I need, if someone could please help me it would be greatly appreciated.

Okay I have a cloth diapering website, I often stock only one of some product, and I rarely have much instock, so I would like to keep up sold products (those not instock) but when doing this it doesn't show them out of stock until you add them to the cart (then the Sorry sold out shows up) in the product display it shows a 0 above the title of the product but only _I_ know what that means, no one looking at the site would have a clue. I just feel like it would frustrate people not to see that it was out of stock until checking out.

Is there a way to mark it out of stock on the product page (aside from the product quantity, since that obviously isn't cutting it?)

I have installed the Oscommerce Supercharged by CRE Loaded version. The link is here The Cushie Tushie Thanks in advance to anyone that takes pity on me and helps me out! :D

I haven't worked with the supercharged version, so I might be a bit off.

You can set in admin that it displays the shopping cart after you add a product. There it displays products which are out of stock.

Adding a little check to the products page and displaying is possible, too.

In the contributions area (link at top of forum pages -- from there, I think it's in the 'Features' section), there is a mod called "Product Availability" which allows you to specify a stock message for each product.

I've got it running on my still-in-progress site with good results. It does NOT tie the message in to actual stock quantities though, which is a bit of an issue for me, but might not be for you.
