Fatal Death Error ..Need some help

THis is the drill..everytime i click on a link in my catalog i get prompted with the following error

Fatal error: Call to a member function on a non-object in c:\inetpub\wwwroot\catalog\includes\application_top.php on line 309

 

 

any help or advice ?
