Hello,

We have received two such reports recently: a new customer placed an order. When she attempted to check out, the Name, Address and Credit Card info of another customer displayed! Please help as we are very concerned.

Our thanks! -sylvia

Have you discovered the problem Sylvia? I agree, it is very disturbing.

you should enable sql session logging in the admin section, so you can see what is going on with the logs. also, check the server access and error logs.

are you on a shared server with someone else? perhaps a temp file or something of the sort is being referenced from their site to yours? also, are you storing credit card info on your site?

what modifications / contributions have you added?

Mibble and thrreG.... thank you both for your attention!

No, we have not discovered the problem yet, nor do we really know the frequency, as up to now we only know if a customer contacts us.

Re Mibble's comments: We will go ahead and enable sql session logging, as suggested. We are on a shared server, but are the only OSCommerce site on that server. Credit card info --yes. Mods/contributions: We are currently adding Multi-stores, but this probem pre-dates that contribution. Other mods were generally small-ish: moving columns, deleting boxes, color changes, etc. The only fiscal edit I can think of is: Text in checkout_payment.php was once edited to indicate that Discover card was not accepted.

We will continue to work on this, and again thank you for your concern. -sylvia
