666 Permissions?

Guest

Recommended Posts

Whole site working just fine, I was thinking I should try some banner exchanging, I deleted the stock ones....put mine in...since then...it dont work.

Im doing something wrong...I mean, I add it in admin...all says success...

is there a setting in a file that needs updated maybe?

Ive tried everything.

Incidently....this may be cause?...I uploaded my site as a zip file, when decompressed...most permissions were set to 666 <scary>...

I pass protected the admin and did what error messages told me at install

wonder if i need to give write permission to some file, for banner to work

This is not a 666 third strike.

yes you will need to set file permissions some of which will be chmod 777 for the graphics, images, banners to name but a few.

If this is a new upload then it may be easier to start again this time unzip locally then upload and install, this should make most of your files set to the correct permissions.
