SEC, STS, BTS

which, if either, is the best or easiest to use with the SEC version? any experiences? pros/ cons?

 

also, templates, which or who has the better templates, i know they cost money .

I'm not fully accquainted with the current status of STS but depending on how much involved you want to get with the actual php code, then it would probably be the easiest to use. I personally prefer BTS, it is logically simple but putting it into SEC or even a default osC package can be a chore, it is not difficult but you need to be able to identify the main table that has the header, left column, body, right column and footer, once you can see this then you just extract the body contents into a seperate file hence giving the BTS solution, The index page is probably the trickiest, because the BTS contrib seperated the body contents into three seperate parts depending on which part of the index page is being displayed. with BTS the main logic of each page still exists in the corresponding file in the catalog directory but the html section is ciphered off into a corresponding templates/content/ file.

 

Although I appreciate the efforts of the SEC, I actually think it better to develop your own package, that way you know whats what and where it is.
