tlelliott77
I have a bizarre situation going on with the forgotten password process. At the moment if you enter a valid email address into the forgotten_password box it says Error: The E-Mail Address was not found in our records, please try again. If you then go to login with the same email address you get the message:
tlelliott77
Sorry, clicked the wrong button and submitted an unfinshed initial message. It should have read as follows: I have a bizarre situation going on with the forgotten password process. At the moment if you enter a valid email address into the forgotten_password box it says Error: The E-Mail Address was not found in our records, please try again. At this stage no email is sent to the customer. If you then go to login (using the login box) with the same email address you get the message: Success: A new password has been sent to your e-mail address. And then you get a new password sent to the user. However if you try to get a new password (getting the same error) and then login using the normal login procedure you don't get a new password email and login successfully using the old password. Has anyone got any ideas where this problem might have come from? I have searched for similar problems but can't find a solution. I have a number of mods installed including the login box w/my account contribution. If anybody can help me I will be very grateful Thanks Tim
Guest
i AM STILL having a problem with this and have searched the forums for months and no one else seems to have this problem, and i dont know why. If a customer tries to get a random password sent, it is sent to them but then when they try to login it says that the email address doesn't exist, even though it does. what is going on??
