crazymonkey
Hi, I have recently installed OSC on my webspace and I am having a few problems as listed below. Any help/suggestions would be greatly appreciated. 1) I have edited wwwroot/catalog/includes/languages/english.php to try to change the web browser title, but it still shows a sosCommerce. 2) The following error message is displayed at the botton of every page "Failed loading C:\Program Files\Zend\lib\ZendOptimizer.dll" 3) When clicking the link to the checkout, after a long delay I revieve the generic "page cannot bo displayed" error Thanks in advance CM :)
241
You are correct in that it is catalog/includes/languages/english.php // page title define('TITLE', 'osCommerce'); and that you should change the "osCommerce" part of the text only No longer giving free advice. crazymonkey
Thats the part of the code I changes to my company name and it still says osCommerce.....weird. Would it make a difference that I didn't use the OSC admin file manager to change it?
Chris Dunning
I've heard that using the osC file manager causes problems when you edit things, but I may be wrong. Safest way is to download, edit, save and upload again. If you've made the change in includes/languages/english.php and it hasn't taken effect, you either forgot to save your changes or you uploaded the file into the wrong place. Guest
as you are loading this on your local system, have you installed Zend on it? also, turn off the shipping modules in the admin area, see what that does on the page not found. did you enable ssl? if so, and you dont have an ssl certificate, disable it. crazymonkey
I dont want to sound dumb, but I dont know what Zend is. Is it needed? can I turn it off on OSC? I disabled all the shipping modules and turned off SSL via my ISP, but I still cant get to the checkout :( Do I need to disable SSL within OSC and if so how? Also, I have checked that the title in english.php is set to the name of my site and it displays correctly on the admin page but not on the index. Any suggestions? Thx CM :)
