charmar
I need help. I asked edigesthosting to assist me in changing my admin page password, however, while I tried to do so, I ended up placing a login access on my actual website. My customers can not access my site. I am so tired of not getting help immediately when things like this happen. I am not very smart with computers and I am afraid to mess with things for this exact reason. Please, Please, Please help me!
zoomer
Whatever you did to enable the password protection of your homepage reverse it. if there is an .htaccess that password protects your catalog directory delete it. Changing your admin password can't be easier. Go to your admin page then click on the "my account" link under the "MY ACCOUNT" header and follow the instructions. BTW my pet peeve is people who have no computer skills taking on a huge task such as setting up a shopping cart and then bitching when they can't get it to work. People will help if they want and don't trust everyones knowledge. Get a book learn for yourself. sorry for the rant.
charmar
I did not mean to sound rude. That was not my intention. I just panicked because I explain to them that I was not the person who set-up my website and I also expalined that I did not know much about it. I would love to learn, but I don't even know where to obtain a book that will assist me. I know I sound stupid, but I have to start somewhere and I may need assistance along the way. I am sorry if I angered you in any way. Thanks.
Guest
you get what you pay for in hosting. if your store is very important to you, then you should find a host which really does give 24/
