Guest
How do you get images to upload to distinct folder? I stand the risk of overwriting my images with different image with similar name.

♥yesudo
i misunderstood: think you need to edit path for images in here - admin/includes/configure.php Your online success is Paramount.
Guest
Thanks Yesudo. but I don't understand. do you mean anytime I need to upload an image to a specific folder I have to alter configure.php first? This is what I am trying to achieve. I have two manufactures, Cannon, HP. both sell printers and both provide me with an image called printer.jpg. I need to be able to put printer.jpg in the subfolder of image called cannon and HP as opposed to the root image folder to avoid overwriting both. How do I achieve this? thanks. ♥yesudo
where is the printer.jpg shown for each manufacturer? you could name the cannon images - c_printer.jpg and the hp images - hp_printer.jpg otherwise create subfolders one named cannon and one named hp and ensure the path to these folders is correctly set-up where you want to display the images. hope this helps. Guest
I like you second solution, creating the folders. But how do I direct the uploaded image to reside on that created folder? Anytime you add and image to a product, it just gets uploaded to the images folder. How do I get it to upload to Canno or HP as the case may be. Thanks for your help. ♥yesudo
my second option was if you had them on site but uploaded manually. this is difficult because i think you can only define one upload destination - unless you can do a lot of coding - which i am not sure how to do. option one is probably your best bet. ♥yesudo
unless you can do it within bulk upload which i am just trying out now Your online success is Paramount.
