JosephB Posted February 6, 2004 Share Posted February 6, 2004 I want to create order numbers with the following format: year-month-day-ordernumber yyyy-mm-dd-#### It would look like this: 200402060003 next order would be 200402060004 etc. Each day would start the count on the final 4 digits again. In this way I can quickly know when an order was placed and which order of that day. Any ideas? Joseph Steep learning curve? Hell, I don't even know enough to formulate a stupid question!!
