yocompia
greets all. having spent countless hours poring over the awful perl code for agoracart in an attempt to get my store setup properly, i'm now determined to give OSC (shorthand for osCommerce) a try. since i was originally working with agoracart, i made the mistake of getting a non-standard payment gateway that's associated with agoracart, AgoraPay. since i don't see anything about choosing non-standard gateways under the payment modules portion of the administration panel for OSC (and nothing associated under searches), i figured i'd just ask to determine if OSC is compatible with my gateway and save time by not learning everything about OSC before i determine if it works or not. i'm confused as to whether or not the AgoraPay (henceforth AP) gateway can be made to work with OSC. it's not too big a problem if i must "custom code" this, but i'd prefer to be lazy and avoid the drama of debugging, etc. i know that it's possible to code an html order page that submits all the relevant credit card (CC) information to the gateway and charges the card, but i don't know if this is the right way to incorporate the gateway into the existing structures in OSC. it's also noteworthy that on agorapay.com, it only claims that agoracart (AC) is compatible with the payment gateway. all things considered, i hate AC, would like to use OSC, but must determine if OSC is compatible with AP (i know, it's almost too rife with acronyms). thx for reading y-p
