fleureine
I can log in to Admin in normal http mode, but when I switch to https my username and password are not accepted. A blank login page reappears. Has anyone experienced this? Thanks.
Guest
did you set up your folder to force ssl access? did you setup your configure.php file for ssl access to the admin section? not just a simple setting of 'true' there are three lines which have to be setup properly. http://www.oscommerce.com/community/contributions,1788
fleureine
No, I didn't set it up to force ssl access. Actually I was just trying it out. I typed the URL with my SSL URL. I looked over the file you mentioned. Before I start modifying my .htaccess file, could you tell me if I need to create users and passwords for all of my admin users in the .htaccess file? Or are these two unrelated verifications? In non-SSL I first enter my password for the directory, then in the admin module, I enter my admin password without any problems. By the way, if you are knowledgeable about .htaccess, maybe you could help me with this. I've looked around and haven't been able to find out how to remove protection from a child directory when the parent directory contains a .htaccess file. I wanted to do this because my payment processor's response does not get handled when the file it posts to on my site is password protected. Thanks a lot.
