info re affiliate program component

It may be my site but my tech friend chose the program and set it up for me. I've been researching affiliate programs (turbo referer, dark blue, etc). After explaining to him what I was doing so he'd know what I was after, he found that OS has an affiliate program - last entry on the link he sent me was october 2003. Looks like from some other posts, it has since been finished and is currently in use.

 

My 2 question are:

where do I go to find out what it does and doesn't do?

and

if it has what I need and want - how does mike install it/integrate it with my current OS commerce site?

search is your best friend, an as it is a contribution, there is a contribution section here on the forum. go to the contribution area, search for the affiliate program, download it, read the readme and see if it fits what you want

Thanks Mibble, but it appears to involve a bit more than that.

 

The reason I posted my original message is because the SEARCH function - which is site wide, rather than area specific - yielded results that related only to apparent ongoing issues with the OS Commerce Affiliate program. The program itself did not surface -much less with a downloadable capacity and a README doc.

 

A google search yields nothing.

 

Therefore my hope was that one of the technical people who know this site well, and know the OS Commerce system well, is perhaps, in fact USING it, and can give me some specific info and an update on it.

 

Perhaps I misinterpreted your suggestion or maybe someone else can provide some specific information?
