Goanna
I want to have a frontpage similar to www.madmacgames.com where the products images appear inside bacground images. I also want the infoboxes to not be visible, as they are on that site. I know how to do that with the infoboxes on both sides, but I want to be able to do it to all the content that is displayed in the center. How would I go about those two things? Guest
Why don't you ask the people whose sites you ahve seen it on? Or have a look in the contribs section - I vaguely recall contribs with images in infoboxes. I have found all sorts of interesting and useful titbits when I actually take the time to look through the contribs section. But I don't know how to do it - sorry. ♥yesudo
create the back ground image - then reduce the image size of your product image - paste it onto the background image - then save the whole thing. you will then need to create an image map - see here: http://hoohoo.ncsa.uiuc.edu/docs/tutorials/imagemapping.html then incorporate the imagemapping code on the store pages where products are displayed. that is how i try do it. Your online success is Paramount.
Goanna
Thanks for the info. Dont know how I could have overlooked the obvious way of doing it manually, but I am looking for it to be done automatically, so I guess I need to follow that link, thanks again. Guest
The Madmacgames boxes are not done with an image map - there are several backgrounds and left, right, top, middle, bottom images - links and product images appear over a background image (the main box image has the shadow - so whatever product image overlays it appears to have a shadow). Goanna
Johnson, what file controls how the product images are displayed? Where would I have to include the html for a background image to be displayed behind the product?
