kingsnake
Hello - I have a site nearly put together and the kooky client wants to have the ability to offer customers free products if they spend $100 or more. This sounds like a simple flag, but I can't seem to figure out how. I've searched the forums and nothing really came up, nor did I find any contributions that would help. 1. is it even possible? 2. has anyone tried this? 3. How? lol! Thanks for helping this greenhorn out! King Snake
♥ecartz
In the get_products function of the shopping_cart class, I would just have it return extra products if the total is greater than a hundred. kingsnake
Thanks for the pointer. Now if I only knew anything about .php and programming... I'm about 80% designer, 20% programmer who's just recently gotten into .php so this might be a bit out of my league. I found the section that you referred to, however I figuring out what to add or mod is beyond my scope of knowledge. What should happen is that if someone spends over $100 then they have the option of choosing a free product from a list of products....which should show up at "$0.00" total. That part was easy -- I just created another category and have products copied there with "$0.00". Getting the cart to flag the user ("you're over $100, choose a free product from our freebie page!") is what I need to do. Any other help would be greatly appreciated and I thank you for the time to respond!!! King Snake
