really stuck here, need help!

I recently installed OSC through my webhosts Cpanel. I have spent the last 3 days straight configuring it to my liking. I have a couple issues.....

 

Apparently its 2.2 CVS. I am having a problem.....if you visit the site, even as a guest, it shows you the product prices PLUS tax without even knowing if your from teh taxable state or not(yes, i set up the tax section in the admin panel). I spoke with somebody running 2.2 MS2, and they have an option right in admin panel to correct this.....I DONT! The option isnt there for me, as well as many other options. I was also having a problem with UPS shipping......the ups GROUND option was coming up blank and would cause the cart to keep looping back to teh same page if you hit CONTINUE. Im wonder(since I havnt found it actually stated anywhere), is it recommended to run teh CVS daily snapshot, or use the MS2 milestone? It seems to me that the milestone has more options and runs better.....?? Should I uninstall the CVS version and install the milestone version? If not, how can I fix this tax issue? Your host may have a hopelessly outdated snapshot.

I had this same problem.

I unustalled the default install, downloaded the latest version and installed it manually. Everything works just fine now. Sure, it makes all the work you have done a complete waste of time...chalk it up to a learning experience.

So in my case, it is recommended that I use the newest 2.2CVS release, and NOT the 2.2MS2 milestone release?

 

I really dont want more problems with another CVS2.2 release......think that would happen? Thanks!
