Product Attributes Issue

Recommended Posts

Hi,

Just wanting to know if anyone knows of anything that allows the follow for product attributes:

Each attribute of a product has it's own ID, and available stock quantity.

I need this because I will be integrating the OSC store with a POS system, and each product and each attribute is a different product with available stocks an quantities.

The other thing that would be nice is hierachical productd attributes.

e.g. instead of having to do this

Right Handed - Regular Shaft Flex - 9 Loft

Right Handed - Regular Shaft Flex - 10 Loft

Right Handed - Regular Shaft Flex - 11 Loft

Right Handed - Firm Shaft Flex - 8 Loft

Right Handed - Firm Shaft Flex - 9 Loft

Right Handed - Firm Shaft Flex - 10 Loft

Right Handed - Stiff Shaft Flex - 8 Loft

Right Handed - Stiff Shaft Flex - 9 Loft

Left Handed - Regular Shaft Flex - 9 Loft

Left Handed - Regular Shaft Flex - 10 Loft

Left Handed - Firm Shaft Flex - 9 Loft

Left Handed - Stiff Shaft Flex - 8 Loft

Left Handed - Stiff Shaft Flex - 9 Loft

Cheers for any help.

I would set one product for each item which is identical, with one model default (I usually set the more expensive as the default) and in the options, you can list the others for the same item.

ie

right hand shaft standard flex default

option firm shaft

and so on, all the way down, this way one part # with options at the end of it when chosen

I would suggest that you usethe contribution Master_Products.

Master Product = XXXdriver

Slave Products linked to Master Product XXXdriver can be whatever attribute you want...

When customer selects that XXXdriver all the slave products list under it similar to

products in a Catagory.

Take a look at it, very useful. But be careful loading it does modify several php's

and if you already have contributions loaded with changes in the same php's, well

that makes it just a little different to load.

And by the way you can give each slave product a different product #, description, price, picture, weight or whatever..
