Database: Getting Fields correct for test

Anybody willing to help me get my fields set up correctly? :huh: I am familuar with databases and will be taking my products (books) from one db - to a Tab Delimited text File - then to Excel. I need to make new fields. I'm going to read as much as I can through out this board (and any others that might help), but I'm hoping there is someone that might be willing to help me get started with adding the fields correctly. I have the list of Fields that I"ve currently been using with my book software and I will list them with what I know they will match up with in the osC db. The ones that need to be added will be blank.

If anyone is willing ....please let me know :rolleyes:

MODEL # = products_model

TITLE = products_name

AUTHOR = manufacturers_name (very important search info, see my site for how I have it set)

CATEGORY = categories_name

GRADE = ? (very important info to have for each item)

ISBN = ?

PUBLISHER = ?

BOOKFORMAT = ?

PUBDATE = ?

VALUE = products_price

and I have the others that are in the osC db, but not mine, like the Weight, Taxable, image url, status, date added and description. These I can add to my book db without any problems...its just adding from the book db to the osC db that has me lost. I also will not be needing the quantity field, but I"m assuming that as long as I leave it blank it won't be a problem.

I've worked all day at this (well, actually the past two weeks, all day long) and I'm hoping that what I'm explaining makes sense. If you think you can help me get the right fields in the right db...please, oh please... send me an email or IM..sometimes it takes 3 hrs for the email notification to pop up and I am desperate to get back to my usual business of selling other things (besides books) on ebay B)

Thank so much,

Lalla

I did find one that lets you add ISBN's, before I install it I need to know if the new field it makes will let you fill it with Easy Populate? I wrote to the person that created the Contribution, but haven't heard back yet... anybody know???

Thanks!

Both of these are a start but not exacly what you are looking for.

They at least give you an idea of where to make the code changes.
