Adding products

on adding products to a catagory is there a way i can rename some off the fields and add some others..

 

eg..

add a Book .. 

can i have seperate fields like:

Title:
Author:
Year:
ISBN:
Weight:
Inventory No.
DESC:

Fields. 

and when the product is shown in catalog 

it would show:

Title: Bill and ben 
Author: Hexxus the god
Year: 1987
ISBN: no isbn
Weight: 50g
Inventory No: 98198791878
DESC: Bill and ben book 
-- Piccy --

 

 

 

I notice in add product it has like Products Model: and Products Manufacturer: and Products URL: and so on.. can i change these to show lik Author and year and stuff.

Can you tell me what do you change in manufacturer.php to get the author list name. How it works

Have you looked at my store? www.nothingbutromance.com/shop/catalog

 

That is what I did. To the system it is still considered the Manufacturer field, but to the customer's view its the Author's Last name alphabet. As long as you change it in the view, you can leave the db title for that field Manufacturer.

 

Does that make sense?
