romanU
I have a client that wants to run the CC payments through his terminal at his office. What is the best way to have shoppers to finish their order and then osCom submit the CC# and order # via email to him to do the transaction? Is security an issue doing it this way? Guest
Yes, security is an issue - an email is like a postcard - anybody can read it... osCommerce can send part of the CC number via email and the other part is stored in the database. romanU
how about just sending an email that there was a purchase? will that be sefe? and what would be the module to do that?
Guest
The standard osCommerce credit card module - admin->modules->Credit Card. Matti
omegaman66
I am in a similiar boat. How is the default set up (I haven't crossed this bridge yet)? Can't I just get all the information out of the data base and forgo all email transactions. Is the 50/50 split the default?

The database is the default - if you add an email address in admin it will split the number. There are issues with storing cc numbers that have been discussed at length on these forums.
