Instalation Problem

Guest

Recommended Posts

Hi. I have unpacked the files as wiki community site says.

When I type in the address (www.MYSITE/catalog/install) in my browser all I get is a blank page :o Is there a list of permissions for the files as I think this may be the problem or should I set them all to 775?

Hi,

if you have followed the installation procedures from the documents from osC then you should be ok.

Have you tired entering www.MYSITE/catalog/install/ with the slash on the end. this makes a difference.

give it a go see how you get on.

Hi,

I had exactly the same problem and still have but I messed up, so do not take it into account.

This is what I received from my host support:

"Adam,

Please note you have uploaded osCommerce in the wrong directory on the Server and this is why your site does not work properly. Please ensure that you are uploading to /var/www/html/ like the first time you did it.

Uploading elsewhere will not display online properly."

First time I uploaded was fine. Try to follow this site and it should be fine. I don`t know who is your host, but installation may be the same:

Good Luck. I hope it helps

I had a problem a few days ago, I couldn't view any orders. Finally, I noticed the file was blank/empty; during the load to the website, this particular file was not transferred correctly.

Your problem could be the same, check to make sure that the file in the install path (no doubt index.php) is not blank/empty.

Peter
