Guest
We are ready to do a site conversion and can't get the shipping to work as needed. I need to be able to use the table rate ( $1 shipping for orders $1.00 - $10.00; $2.00 shipping for $10.01 - $20.00 and so on). We aslo have large heavy items that are oversized that we charge a flat rate for, such as $20.00 for a bumper or $40 for a rack. The problem that I'm having is that I need to mix and match these without a customer getting charged shipping twice for an item. Example: Bill orders 6 spark plugs for $2.00/ea and a bumper for $100. His shipping should be a total of $22.00; $2.00 for the plugs ($10.01-$20.00) and $20 flat rate for the bumper. What is now happening is that he is being charged the table rate for the total amount of the order ($112) plus the flat rate of $20 for the bumper.......This is a large site with over 10,000 items and I'm afraid that I don't have much hair left. Please help if you can.
computerfield
Kindof have the same problem only I'm looking to setup a standard flat rate of 7.95 for 1-6 items, any items, doesn't matter weight. Then add .30 cents per item after 7 items are in the cart, and add .30 for the 8th, 9th and so on. Perhaps a good php custom coder could be paid to help rid some of the shipping module options for some stores. -Jon

computerfield
I've found a contibution here; it's called "First Item X - Additional Items Y Shipping" And will have to work for now, Although when I do have a bit of time, I will take a look at how this was done, and perhaps I can change it, or someone can help change some of the code to "Set how many of first items you want to include in the first base price. Then after that amount, is when the .30 come's in per extra item after that. Only other thing is when I'm looking at the page that says "What's In My Cart" Down below all the prices for the items in my cart, I see a sub-total amount, but it is only adding the amount selected by the products attributes, There anyway to get Sub Total and Total on that page? If i were to go ahead and "checkout" I can see the sort order I setup, for Sub-total Shipping and then Total. "First Item X - Additional Items Y Shipping" for http://www.oscommerce.com/community/contributions,1852 This is for pointblankshirts.com I've done everything for this site, and now I must ask questions =P -Jon
