Guest Posted January 29, 2004 Share Posted January 29, 2004 I cant get to the administrator area here is the error I am getting: Warning: mysql_connect(): Can't connect to local MySQL server through socket '/var/run/mysqld/mysqld.sock' (2) in /home/www/mtolivo.supremeserver5.com/admin4u/includes/functions/database.php on line 19 Unable to connect to database server! Daria Posted January 29, 2004 Share Posted January 29, 2004 Make sure you didn't misspell anything in the configuration. The ones I constantly do evolve around database name: I keep putting a dot instead of an underscore in front of com, such as databasename_website.com instead of databasename_website_com.
