shinobiX
I'm sure this has been covered here before over 1000 times, but I can't seem to find any posts on it through the massive amounts of posts on vaguely related topics... How can you make your top level categories (in the category infobox in the left column) use graphics instead of the text name of the category, still having the text drop drown for sub-categories? i looked at categories.php but it didn't really give me any clues as to how to do this. I'd like to have my category buttons associated with the actual category name in the db, as they may change a little from time to time. If there are previou posts covering this that some one knows of, please point me that way, or if you know how to do what I'm talking about that would be extremely appreciated. THANKS!! TerryK
I used this contrib: http://www.oscommerce.com/community/contri...ons,1379/page,3 There are others listed in the Contributions section (link in top right of forum pages). Go to the Infoboxes section and scroll through -- you'll find them. :) HTH, Terry Terry Kluytmans Contribs Installed: Purchase Without Account (PWA); Big Images, Product Availability, Description in Product Listing, Graphical Infobox, Header Tags Controller, Login Box, Option Type Feature, plus many layout changes & other mods of my own, like: Add order total to checkout_shipment Add order total to checkout_payment Add radio buttons at checkout_shipping (for backorder options, etc.) Duplicate Table Rate Shipping Module Better Product Review Flow * If at first you don't succeed, find out if there's a prize for the loser. *
shinobiX
Hmm. That's kinda cool, and may prove useful on yet another project I'm doing with OSC right now as well. However, it doesn't look like it handles the actual category names in the way I'm talking about. I have these really cool graphical buttons to use for the top category levels, and when clicked they should reveal the text sub-categories like OSC already does. I'm just trying to ditch the HTML rendered text for the main ones. Any ideas? Thanks for your help in advance!
TerryK
I believe there are a couple of DHTML menu contrib's ( one is CoolMenu, I think? ) in either the 'infobox' or 'features' section of Contributions. Maybe they'll work?
