The last Flag

Now that I have gotten all the language flags removed.. How do I change the British flag to American. I am getting the british flag for the English language, so how do I change that to american and is there an american flag on the site somewhere to insert there ?

put your US flag in place of the 'icon.gif' file and then you dont have to worry about finding it. ie, search for icon.gif and where that is, copy your US flag there, named icon.gif

I don't believe there is an american flag, but when you find one you can overwrite the british flag file at includes/languages/english/images/icon.gif

well I went into includes/languages/english/images and removed the old icon.gif and added a new american flag icon.gif ...

 

Now when I go to my storefront I see an enlarged british flag instead of the american flag ?????

Do you want to get rid of the flags completely?

 

Edit the file catalog/includes/column_right.php.

 

Find the line that says something like:

include WS_INCLUDES/boxes.php;

 

Put a // in front of it so it looks like this:

 

//include WS_INCLUDES/boxes.php;

 

Now you won't see the language box at all.

btw, you need to clear your cache and/or refresh your browser to get the new image of the US flag. it looks like your browser got the new dimensions, but didn't update the cached image, hehe

I believe Luc'sMusic mean the line that said

include(DIR_WS_BOXES . 'languages.php');

 

to comment it out because you're only using one now, you don't need to let them choose any other.

Yes... I did just that and it worked.
