Zima
I have my store hosted at Ipowerweb. (ya I know..) As of late I have been receiving the following error every so often throughout the day. Warning: mysql_connect(): User blah_user1 has already more than 'max_user_connections' active connections in /home/blah/public_html/includes/functions/database.php on line 19 Unable to connect to database server! I checked the forum and I found that this error is due to too many users accessing the SQL server. I changed the configue.php file to : define('USE_PCONNECT', 'true'); Will that help? ------------------------------------------------------------ This is the response from Ipowerweb tech support. Thank you for contacting iPowerweb technical support. Prsently we have set max limit(no of requests) on our server as 50000 per account. This is prevention measure against server crash or any other damage to server. We have set this limit for better operation and if you are getting these errors again and again, you need to check your scripts(pages) are not using more no of the server resoucres, if so you should modify them so that they will nor exceed allowed server resoureces. I have to say that you definitely get what you pay for with this company! I am looking to find a different host.

Noobish-n-stuff
i think true web developers don't like them because you don't have the same access as you would if you had the server next to you. plus all the little crap with the ups module, max db connects, etc...
