Guest
why not do it the opposite way first, and enter a product manually, then go into the admin section, and dodwnload the easy populate file. this way you can look at what is necessary for uploading. peterr
Hi, 1054 - Unknown column 'p.products_master' in 'field list' Yes, I was just testing the latest version of EP, and got the same message, in quite a few of the functions that I tried. There is no column in the products table called "products_master" Peter
peterr
Hi, Oops, I should have read _all_ of the details on the Easy Populate downloads at http://www.oscommerce.com/community/contributions,500 The very latest release: 01/20/2004 - Easypopulate v2.73-MS2/MASTER PRODUCT SUPPORT Author: Erik Chumley Contains 1file only (easypopulate.php) please download the previous version for the full install & read me. Easypopulate v2.73-MS2/MASTER PRODUCT SUPPORT allows you to set all your master product variables using easypopulate MUST HAVE MASTER PRODUCTS INSTALLED Simply replace easypopulate.php with this one. BACK UP YOURFILES I unzipped version v2.73-MS2, then replaced the file easypopulate.php, just as the above quote states, but didn't comprehend this part Easypopulate v2.73-MS2/MASTER PRODUCT SUPPORT allows you to set all your master product variables using easypopulate MUST HAVE MASTER PRODUCTS INSTALLED I don't have 'Master products' installed, hence the message, so next time maybe I'll read ALL the details. :D Peter

Guest
Hi. Im a newbie to osCommerce and im helping out a friend to open a webstore, but im getting the same problem as above, i downloaded the 2 latest files and i did exactly what it told me to do. So whats the MASTER PRODUCTS ? What have i missed ? I have not run any sql files to update the tabel so im thinking that i have forgot some file but there is no sql file included in the 2.73 rls. What is the MASTER PRODUCTS INSTALLED, some addon or something within osCommerce ?

peterr
Hi davinci & madTrax, 1. If you have "Master Products" installed, then you will need http://oscommerce.sunsite.dk/contributions/EP_v2_73_MS2.zip plus http://oscommerce.sunsite.dk/contributions...terproducts.zip overwrite the file "easypopulate.php" from easypopulate4masterproducts.zip 2. If you do NOT have "Master products" installed, you only need http://oscommerce.sunsite.dk/contributions/EP_v2_73_MS2.zip .... otherwise, you will get the error message. peterr
Hi, now if i can just get my pop up to display..the "larger" image, instead of displaying the same picture in the thumbnail...you know... If I'm at http://www.yourwebsite/catalog/product_inf...&products_id=59 , the image size is 100 x 80, then when I either click the link to 'enlarge', or click on the image, the popup size is 500 x 383 Isn't that the larger picture ? I've probably misunderstood what you meant though. :) Peter
Guest
Thanks... Yeah...the large will pop up...but my concern is that the thumb is not really a small image. it looks small I have to admit...lol but i believe its just skwoze into the small frame..see...in other words...i believe 53K is in that little frame. at least when I view properties of thumb...it says 53K a 53K thumb? ive tried dumping my cache...etc...still same. that no good! it appears that you have 2 pictures for your sources... thumb.jpg enlargment.jpg but sounds like you're saying...the one large file got shrunk and created the small thumb...you said "how'd they do that"

peterr
Hi, Yeah...the large will pop up...but my concern is that the thumb is not really a small image. it looks small I have to admit...lol but i believe its just skwoze into the small frame..see...in other words...i believe 53K is in that little frame. at least when I view properties of thumb...it says 53K a 53K thumb? ive tried dumping my cache...etc...still same. that no good! it appears that you have 2 pictures for your sources... thumb.jpg enlargment.jpg but sounds like you're saying...the one large file got shrunk and created the small thumb...you said "how'd they do that" Well, the one I was using as an example has been deleted (no product info), so this makes it a bit hard to help if the goal posts keep gettting shifted. :D Anyway, the page I'm looking at is http://www.davincisvise.com/catalog/produc...&products_id=67 View the image properties, for that _small_ image, and it is only 2083 bytes, the dimensions are 57 x 80. View the source code that does this ............ <script language="javascript"><!-- document.write('<a href="javascript:popupWindow(\'http://www.davincisvise.com/catalog/popup_image.php?pID=67\')"><img src="images/imagecache/AUCDBP_large.jpg" border="0" alt="AUCDBP" title=" AUCDBP " width="57" height="80" hspace="5" vspace="5"><br>Click to enlarge</a>'); //--></script> <noscript> <a href="http://www.davincisvise.com/catalog/images/AUCDBP_large.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="images/imagecache/AUCDBP_large.jpg" border="0" alt="AUCDBP" title=" AUCDBP " width="57" height="80" hspace="5" vspace="5"><br>Click to enlarge</a></noscript> Notice the image source is "<img src="images/imagecache/AUCDBP_large.jpg" , and not the (usual) image path, ......... that's how they do it. :) The real size of the image is 59.182 bytes, but it is resized, as a thumbnail, because you would have specified 57 x 80 in the admin configuration. When you either click on the link "Click to enlarge", or click on the actual (small/thumbnail) image, then a Javascript function is run, called "popupWindow", which is at the top of the source code ............. <script language="javascript"><!-- function popupWindow(url) { window.open(url,'popupWindow','toolbar=no,location=no,directories=no,status=no,menubar=no,scrollbars=no,res izable=yes,copyhistory=no,width=100,height=100,screenX=150,screenY=150,top=150,le ft=150') } //--></script> ...... and the image is it's natural (large) size. Hope that has explained it. Peter
zip1
Warning: move_uploaded_file(/home/mysite/public_html/estore/catalog//catalog/temp/EP2004Jan31-1212.txt) /catalog//catalog/temp is your problem At the top of the easypopulate file you need to edit the temp file location $tempdir = "temp/"; $tempdir2 = "temp/"; these have been changed to match ms2 Tom
