Scott H.
I have just installed OSCommerce on my webserver and looked through the forums here for the answer to a problem I'm having. I can't seem to find exactly which file or files I need to edit to change the text on the front page. The installation was done automatically from my admin interface with my web host (CPanel). It looks as though everything is working OK. I did download the zip file for OSCommerce to my local hard drive just to see if all the files were installed on my server. On my local copy I have an index.php file in the \catalog\includes\languages\english directory. This looks like the file I need to edit, but I can't find that file on my webserver. All the other files are there but that one. My question is this, Do I need to edit the local copy and place this file in the \catalog\includes\languages\english directory on my webserver? Any help would be appreciated. I am new to PHP and Server Side Programming so I am totally lost.

Scott H.
Yes as a matter of fact I have seen a few of them in different directories. What should I do now? Delete the OSCommerce directories? or is there an upgrade feature I can use? Thanks for the help Steve.
241
You have choices 1. stick with what you have and await the new version when it is released and no I do not no when, it is meant to be sometime soon, but for that info possibly try Harold or one of the team. 2. download version 2.2ms2 which has a few of the newer features in it and is stable and do an upgrade or clean install.
