jbeech
We sell videos and DVDs and S&H is $3.95 for the 1st plus 50? for each additional which we set up using per item module by setting shipping at 50 cents and handling at $3.45. Not perfect, but it works for us. Now our problem is we have added a 4-issue subscription option where S&H is a flat $6.95 (total for 4 issues). Now we're stuck - thoughts anyone? trendyfashion
This maybe hard to control but might work. I use a flat $5 per item with $2 each additional. So i use the table method and every item when listed is a weight of 1 then the table rate takes care of the rest like this 1:5.00,2:7.00,3:9.00,4:11.00,5:13.00,6:15.00. You could do that say thru 20 or whatever the max number items a customer may purchase. Then for your special item that is 6.95 flat give that item a huge weight such as 50. Add the 50:6.95 to the end of the table weight string like mine above. This might work and of course may not make sense if you haven't tried table rate in admin yet. Let me know if this works. Guest
If you're treating this as one item, i.e., $3.95 is charged for shipping, then just set the product attributes to include an additional $3.00 charge to make up the diff. I would include a notation in the product description that this portion of the shipping has been built into the price. Hope this helps. :) Kate
