unicorncove
I just discovered OSCommerce and want to try it out before I pay for web hosting. What I was hoping to do is start building a web page using a free host (namely, FateBack.com) so I can get the hang of it before I pay for web hosting somewhere else. What I want to know is: If I start building there, can I transfer it all later to my paid web host? Is there a way I can just build my pages offline and without uploading it yet to the web at all? (can you tell I've never done anything like this before??) Any help you could give me is greatly appreciated.
♥ecartz
1. Yes, you can move it. 2. Yes, EasyPHP is one program to do this. It installs Apache, MySQL, and PHP locally on your own machine. There are a couple others out there. Hth, Matt Always back up before making changes.

unicorncove
This information is for EasyPHP? (and this makes it so I can design my website on my computer offline before I even have a place to host it??)
