please help newbie

Parse error: parse error in /home/pool0500/public_html/includes/languages/english/index.php on line 19

when i go to my site i get the above error at the top of the page

i did try and edit the wording on the languages/english/index.file

any help would be appreiciated. below is a copy of index.php

the problem seemed to be editing the index file within osadmins file manager,

as i uploaded the default index and then tested (ok) so o i downloaded it back edited the way i liked and uploaded and everything was fine!

strange!!

but all is well now
