Guest
This is what happens when someone with limited PHP expereince trys to open a OScommerce webstore: 1.) The file that contains the layout of the Requesting information for new customers, What is it first and how do I add notes beside each text box. 2.) Can you make the products be sorted alphabetically by manufactorer THEN by product name and not the other way around? 3.) Some web browsers see the frames and boxes of the page but no images, any ideas? 4.) I am not recivieng e-mails of what customers purchased and they are not recieiveing them either. Paypal is the only way I know I got an order. 5.) How do I offer multiple flat rate shippings? Such as a flat rate Ground, Flat Rate Express, Flat Rate over night? Thanks in advance to everyone. I'm really sorry.
Guest
best bet is read the wiki documentation, learn stylesheet.css and if still confused, hire a webmaster who knows php
Guest
I have been reading the Wiki files quite a lot. I'm not completely blind to PHP, just newer then most people here...really I took care of everything already excepts those 5 things I listed...if people could even help me with one it would be great. Guest
1. create_account.php is the file. You might find some of the text items in includes/english/create_account.php. If not there, check in includes/english.php. 2. have a look at index.php and find the sort routines. I'm not familiar with it, but I'm sure what you want could be done. 3. .....I don't know. 4. PayPal is bad. The reason nobody is getting an email is probably because customers are not clicking the final "continue" button on the PayPal site. That problem has been discussed on the forums over and over again. The short answer is to search the forums. The shorter answer is to get the contribution called PayPal IPN. The better solution is to get a real merchant account. I thought that I couldn't afford to have a real merchant account, but after I lost a few sales because customers couldn't make PayPal work for them I decided $15 a month was a pretty good deal. 5. The easiest way I can think of would be to make three copies of the flat_rate.php file. Rename them to "Ground," "Express" and "Overnight." Make sure you copy the language files too and change the text in them appropriately. Set your rates where you want them. 6. If you're still confused, PM me.
