devink
Hi, is there a setting in admin that stops the images being stretched out of proportion? My images are either a maximun of 100 pixels wide 100 pixels high. The second dimension could be anything between 20 and 100 pixels. Will I need to change the html in index.php to deal with this, or am I asking too much because I have no definite size for the images. My other option is to resize all images to 100 x 100. Anyone know of a batch tool that could do this for me, and fill the additional space with a white background? I have around 3,000 images! I tried Easy Thumbs, but it cannot fill the extra space. Many Thanks, Steve

trendyfashion
Are you using one of the thumbnail contribs? It can fix that problem and makes more sense in the bandwidth usage if you have big images. Whats your url? The Wiki Docs: Read them, live them and be thankful for them! trendyfashion
oops I forgot you want everything the same size. If your images are very large in height and width you may be able to find a common resize for all images to get them close. Then use easy thumbs and do not let it maintain the aspect ratio. Just make them all 100x100. Ifranview is a good batch conversion program. The Wiki Docs: Read them, live them and be thankful for them!
devink
Thanks for the info. I'm already using the BigImage contribution, hence the need for converting the images to 100 x 100 thumbnails. I can't afford to stretch the images at all, it distorts the product until it's not recognisable. I will check out the products you suggested. There is no URL yet, I'm still developing locally. Click edit and get rid of the width altogether. That way the image will remain in proportion to itself. That way if OScommerce sets the hight to 100 the width will automatically adjust...
