hufflehuffle Posted January 22, 2004 Share Posted January 22, 2004 Hi! I am new to OSC and have a general question. What if I do heavy design changes to my online shop and there is an update of OSC? Wouldn't that mean overwriting all of my (modified) phps? I know some things can be customized through CSS but changing images has to go through the php scripts themselves. Noobish-n-stuff Posted January 22, 2004 Share Posted January 22, 2004 very true... if you heavily modify your shop, it can take a very long time to implement a newer version of OSC. that's why you will see a lot of people that are still using MS1. if you are concerned about upgrading to MS3 when it comes out, don't be. everyone will be in the same boat. they are changing so many things in this new version that there are going to be big incompatibility issues. anything (contributions) made prior to MS3 will not work. for more info on this , checkout http://www.oscommerce.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=65383 there's a small outline of what's to come Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
