order status error

please help my store is live now and i am getting a error when i change

the status of a order

 

e.g from pending to processing to shipped to delivered

 

the error that i get is

 

Fatal error: Call to undefined function: constant() in includes/classes/email.php on line 61

 

i only get the error when Notify Customer is ticked so i think it is to do with the email system

 

the status will update on the customers screen if i take the tick out of Notify Customer

what kind of server are you on and did you make any changes to the admin section dealing with email. the code is not necessary if you did not change it (did you change the email code?)

 

if on windows server, settings are one way, if on *nix it is another way

it seems as if no email or newsletter sending is working at all in the admin section

 

emails from the shop front works ok though
