thewitt
The one area in OSC that is a total disaster is the attribute section. Though I've installed SEC and that helps quite a bit, this entire attribute editing and management system looks like it was built by someone with no attributed on any of their products. Right now I'm just reversing the attribute creation page, so that creating a new Product Option and then adding an Option Value is on the bottom of the page, and the top of the page contains the actual ADD function. I don't know about the rest of you, but I add an option and it's values much less frequently than I actually add attributes to products. Having the ADD function at the bottom of the page is insane! I'm spending at least 50% of my time just scrolling down to where the meat is! I'm interested in other comments about attribute management in general. We really do need to overhaul these in the future. I know they have been discussed to death, but any other comments about streamlining their use would be appreciated. -t
enchantedneedle
Thank you! How about a series of empty boxes that you can simply type in your "options values" next to your "product options" and add them all to the database in one click of the mouse instead of one at a time. They need to be grouped together better. I simply hate the pull down menu that you have to select your "product option" each time you are adding option values! It would be very nice to add all your "product options" in the same way, but I would settle for just the "options values". I use the add attribute mod that has the check boxes on the actual add product page. I like it, but it has gotten crowded with all my product options. thewitt
I've also reaslized that an "edit attributes" button on the Products page would be very good as well - taking you to that product in an attribute editor function. I end up naming my products with a leading "!" sign while I'm creating or editing them so they are on the top of the attribute list. With several thousand products and many more attributes, the existing system is cumbersome at best. -t
